Need photo viewer software with read only function, no editing function.?

The reason for such is to avoid my child to edit or delete the photo's, maybe there is some way to disable the rights from folder, been using picasa for a while, it is one of the best viewing and editing software ... downside ... so good that even a child could mess up the collection.
